Faia Younan Drawing - رسم فايا يونان
Faia Younan is a young Syrian Swedish singer, she was born in Alepo - Syria before moving with her family to Sweden when she was just 11 years old. But she never lost her connection with her roots, thing that shows clearly in her music and lyrics that are mostly about her country Syria, she has songs about Iraq, Lebanon, and Palestine too.
Faia Younan's artistic and musical career officially started in 2014 when she made with her sister Rihan Younan a song and video about the middle east called "To our countries" in Arabic "إلى بلادي"
the song was a huge success, soon enough the video recieved many views from all over the world. and that's when I first heard about Faia Younan too, I loved both the song and the video, since then I became a big fan, I like the way she chooses her lyrics and song themes.

I also liked her facial features, she's obviously very beautiful but from an artistic point of view she also has a unique kind of beauty, I wanted to draw her since 2015 I guess when I saw one of her pictures on her facebook page but always been delaying it. actually there are a lot of portraits and other drawing projects that I skipped in the past year.. not so cool from an artist
This is the first drawing in 2017, hopefully this year I will have more time to draw more and to make more videos. As usual in this portrait drawing I used my usual pencils, 3 of them to be precise, 2 shades of grey plus one tiny pencil. Same paper as well.. the new feature added is that it's the first time I go above the full HD mode in a portrait speed drawing video :) The speed drawing video is in Ultra HD mode also called 4K mode.. Because at sometime you must step up your game if you want to remain in the competition.. But I doubt that I will make all my next videos in 4K mode, maybe just some of them, because Ulra HD videos require a lot of memory space, and I do not have that at the moment, and will also take longer in editing and rendering.

I posted this portrait drawing on Faia Younan's facebook page and she saw it, she was happy about it..
I remember when Faia had just few people on her facebook page and she used to check it herself, I guess now she must have a page administrators because she can't keep up with the 1000s of fans she has now.
